hi all i have a new glider that we got at a
pet store in indiana we went in to get some mealworms
and the lady asked me what i needed them for and when
i told her she told me she just found out she had to
have a usda licence to sell them and had to take all hers
off the shelf and of corse i was secretly happy at the
thought of her not selling gliders anymore well she said
she and a little male left and wanted to know if i wanted
him for 100.00 well before i could say no because i did
not have 100.00 and seeing him would just kill me my mom
asked to see him when the lady brought out this little tiny
finch cage my heart sank the little nesting box took up the
whole cage it was horrid well my mom gave her the money for
it right then when we got to the truck she said
"if we wouldnt have saved him now he would die in a month"
i think she was right what bothers me the most was that lady
has sold gliders in that store for a few years and just got
cought not having a licence she did not know that the love
to eat mealworms and worst of all our little boy is a girl
that lady knew lees than i did when i got my frist glider
so all of you know the laws in your state and dont be afraid
to ask if a pet store has a licence and please dont be afraid
to report any abuse of any animal this new little girl i have
in my life is so afraid to even come out of her house to eat
i would like any tips i can get to help tame her down and make
her happy and healthy
