Its so very sad. I always tell people not to ever buy from a petstore....Im hoping this one near my hoise will stop selling them because they cant make a profit. If people would stop buying them from petstores hopefully they would stop trying. It is so very sad. I'm glad you were able to rescue that little girl. I know have a girl from a petstore, and believe it or not she doenst know how to drink water. Its very very sad. You will have to work very hard with your new glider. She has peobably been mistreated for a long time now. Regulate how much she is eating and drinking. you may have to give her food through a straw or a dropper. Try to get her to lick food off your finger if you can. I would say keep her in a very dark quiet room. Help her to feel safe enough to come out and eat. Sit beside her and talk softly so she gets used to your voice and scent. Do all you can to get her to eat..without scaring her. I hope all goes well...with a little love and patience she will hopefully be fine. Bourbon has a great bonding page...fillow it and with time even this scarred little girl can be a sweet bonded girl. Good luck to you! http://www.angelfire.com/nb/sugarglider/bonding.aspl
