1. This is normal - male scent gland.
2. All my males also have this. I believe it is part of their scent gland.
3. Gliders all have different times they like to be awake. I wouldn't be concerned about this. He will probably get up earlier as he becomes acustomed to you and his surroundings.
4. I have 1 SG who also does this and 1 who doesn't. I guess it just depends on their personalities.
