Males scent glands do appear over a period of time, My Smokey got his at about 4 months oop most get theirs between 4 and 8 months. as far as introducing in for stud service..well that is a controversial subject in itself, sometimes the males take to the females and the females become well lets say pretty jealous. It isn't even advisable to stick 2 females in a cage with only 1 male for various reasons. If one of the females do get preggered, the other female may either steal the babies and they will die or she may even eat them..A lot of variables,, read back on some recent posts concerning disappearing babies.. However; I am glad you kept the one that chose you and your hubby, you will find a much tighter bond..Good luck with your new family..By the way what state are you in? Why do you want to breed the females now?
