Subject: Wood Chewing wrong ????
Posted by Bourbon on June 22, 1998 at 02:32:25:

I have read alot of posts regarding the chewing of wood. Some say don't use soft woods some say don't use live tree branches at all. But Their teeth although they don't constantly grow as the rodents were designed to pierce wood to remove the sap from the branches of various trees. The fear of various parasites from live branches have many people scared. In the wild who was telling the gliders which trees to be on? parasites, insects and trees are abundant no matter what part of the country they come from. The biggest problem I have had is that the live fruit tree branches absorb the urine more than the harder woods. Also the harder woods have helped keep their claws down.
