I give my gliders four mealworms a night each and they have no problems with fat (for 4.5 years). Peanuts are FAR FAR worse. People have been known to give up to 12 a night with no problems and the Taronga zoo diet. also suggests 10-12 a night. This is a bad bad lie. Mealworms are not the major fat problem in a glider diet and will NOT make your glider fat unless you give them 100s a night. If I could catch the people who spread this lie I would tell them what idiots they are. : Oops, you're right! I thought she said they were still squirming, but she said "squishy". I prefer smaller quantity so I'm not tempted to give too many -- those things are high in fat, and you have to be careful of that with gliders. Crickets are better.
