: I just got my new glider today. The poor thing was SO scared. I got her home, and put her in the cage. She's been doing TONS of "crabbing" -- and I'm just wondering what to do next. I was told to keep her in the cage for a few days, with a cover on it. Let her get used to my face and smell. Is this right? PLEASE let me know what to do! THANKS.

Eileen,

I can sympathize with a scared glider! But, I don't know about putting a cover over her cage. I would think it would be better to let her see her environment while she's getting used to you. As long as she has a place to go (nesting box or pouch), I don't see a reason
to cover her. I may be wrong, but it may do more harm than good to cover her cage. Good luck!
