I am confused here. If you think he got up into the stove or frig why haven't you torn them apart? Did you take all the cushions off the furniture? Look through shoes in the closet? Look in the VCR flap?

Can you borrow a neighbors cat,put it on a leash, and walk it through the apartment? Maybe it will find a trail to follow?

If you tried all of this with no luck then we must think of other places. It may be too late to save him, but it may not. Do you have a panel for an attic crawlspace?
