Dizzysmom - That would work perfectly for me. Do they come in different size's. Do you just stick their bowls down in it. I gotta find time to go to Lowe's.
Yes - they do have different sizes. You can see how well it works in Kazko's photo. There's even a little lip on the front that helps to keep things from slipping off (like food dishes). I put a fleece pad on each shelf so they don't always have to walk on wire, but then, I have to launder them frequently.
My only suggestion is to maybe use the lid from the container for them to stand/walk on so the food stays off the cage under them. It just makes it easier to clean, is all. :)
that is the best description, "Tornado". Some nights they are pigs and leave no scraps behind then other times there are particles splattered in the kithchen.
I think it is easier to keep the bottom down then on top. It could be just for the looks to. The dollar store and big lots has them only for a dollar. The only other thing is a hole saw. I got mine for something like five dollars. I bought two containers and the saw, seven dollars and some change. Cheaper then buying a store bought kitchen. I have to be honest here. I got the Idea from one of my co-workers sons. I talked with him about gliders before I got them and he gave me a bunch of Ideas. He also told me not to get them, to much work. Well I didn't listen, yes work but worth it.
All I do is put the food in at night and take out the kitchen and dishes in the morning and clean them. Then I put the kitchen back in with the staple food. Total time to clean and put back in five mins. maybe. Yes they do sometimes take food out but the main mess stays in the kitchen.
I might have to try that set up. I didn't want to do it before because it seemed to be wasting space but there is extra space under a shelf in my cage.
